The fash pack dressed in skyscraper heels
Most of the fashion press opted for a uniform of skyscraper-heeled shoes – such as those made by Miss Sixty – as part of a classic black outfit at this years London Fashion Week.
Many of the shoes were of the shoe-boot variety, thus heralding the footwear as a key trend for autumn.
Held at Somerset House and 180 The Strand this year for the first time, the fashion journalist were treated to glorious weather on the second day of the week-long event, while guests sponsors Chambord were on hand with suitably stylish refreshments.
The day came to be dominated by the much-publicised decision of young designer Mark Fast to use size 12 and 14 models in the first catwalk show.
Meanwhile, skyscraper heels appear be a favourite of another journalist, as Daily Mail columnist Flic Everett recently argued that the shoes make women who go out to work feel “polished”.
