Timberland boots tagline also applies to new book
A tagline featured on a recent advertisement for Timberland boots also has resonance for the latest book by William Stolzenburg, according to one reviewer.
“If youre not fast, youre food” is significant in relation to Stolzenburgs Where the Wild Things Were: Life, Death, and Ecological Wreckage in a Land of Vanishing Predators, as the text highlights the removal of top-tier predators from the ecosystem as a way of ridding their prey of fear as well.
“Discussing several case studies, ranging from the tiny starfish to the polar bear-eating killer whale, Stolzenburg shows the ecological devastation following top-tier predator extinction,” wrote a reviewer on Blogcritics.org.
The critic concluded by praising the book as excellent, well-written and full of excitement – popular science writing at its best.
In other Timberland news, the Equinoz, the student newspaper of Keene State College, recently reported that the boots are still very much in vogue for men this autumn.
