Shoe expert Tomasz Jablonski told the Star Phoenix – which is part of Canwest Global Communications, Canadas largest media company – that Gola footwear is currently de rigeur among the young, hip crowd.

However, the Gola Chrysalis is the shoe of choice for trend-setters, as Mr Jabonski explains: “Its made like a running shoe but has a gold flake flower pattern on it. Its subtle and doesnt stand out too much.”

He adds that it has a good shine to it under the right lighting.
