Despite not being Adidas lightest racing shoe, Adizero Konas are excellent footwear for running, according to one triathlon expert.

Jeroen van Geelen, editor of sports website Slowtwitch, wrote on the portal that the model has a similar midsole to the Adizero Adios and provides cushioning for athletes after a demanding swimming and cycling session.

“I find this one an excellent model for the faster neutral runner who likes to leave no time in the transition zone. Of course it’s also a great choice for shorter distances,” he stated.

Mr van Geelen added that the shoes neoprene uppers and large Velcro straps locate the feet comfortably, while providing extra support.

This news comes after David Beckhams latest Adidas Originals collection was revealed last week.

Footwear, accessories, layering items, pants and shirts all make up the new range, which the footballer has described as representative of his own personal style.
