Dr Martens boots are the height of cool
Sported by grungy urban trendsetters, Dr Martens boots currently constitute the height of cool, according to one news provider.
The National asserted that the world is currently going through a phrase of fashion extremism, which sees platform ankle boots, printed leggings and gobstopper necklaces dominating the headlines at the same time.
“There is no one, all-encompassing, silhouette/colour/hemline-defining, something-to-please-Victoria Beckham trend. The obvious knock-on effect from the global recession seems to be everyone – especially in fashion – has to think a bit harder,” it stated.
As a result, many items that are on-trend have been supersized, downsized, upgraded, made a lot cheaper, heightened – as in the case of heels, made more expensive – as in the case of handbags, or are simply strange, like the mankini.
Stylists and experts alike were clad in extreme fashions during the recent London Fashion Week, including looks such as blue nail varnish, purple lipstick or Dolce and Gabbanas latest city wear, it reported.
Dr Martens boots were first created by Dr Klaus Maertens in Northampton in 1960.
