The average woman spends two-thirds of her time in high heel shoes
With the second Sex and the City movie almost upon us, the results of a new survey about womens shoes could be a reflection of the Carrie Bradshaw effect.
A poll by liqueur brand Chambord has discovered that the average British woman spends almost two-thirds of her time in high heel shoes and that she owns an average of 17 pairs.
One in ten respondents said they possess more than 30 pairs of shoes, while 16 per cent reported having splashed out on footwear in order to look better for a date, the Telegraph reports.
However, the survey also found that rather than blowing a fortune on expensive high-end brands like Carrie and co, British women are more savvy, typically spending around £34 on a pair of shoes.
"Were opting for affordable luxury," commented Chambords Charlotte Ashburner.
