Even the most famous of WAGS need a day off from their designer heels, as Alex Curran recently admitted she is a fan of Converse trainers.

The wife of England captain Steven Gerrard wrote in her column for OK! magazine that she has bought two pairs of the iconic trainers and is already planning to get a third pair.

Mum of two Alex said she had bought a pair each in black and navy, with a khaki pair also on the cards.

Praising how easy it is to put an outfit together with a pair of Converse as the base, she said she had been wearing them with skinny jeans and vest tops adorned with skull motifs.
