This is the advice of designer Bonang Matheba, who told Times Live girls do not have to follow fleeting trends in order to continually look their best.

“A woman will never go wrong with a crisp white shirt or T-shirt, dark blue jeans, lip gloss, stilettos and a beautiful handbag. Its timeless, elegant and simple,” she commented.

Ms Matheba also pointed out that its a good idea to pay close attention to shoes, as they can make or break an outfit.

She concluded by saying stylish people will always have an air of confidence which oozes elegance.
