Shoes the prize for Shanghai World Expo visitor
Shoes were the special prize for a landmark visitor to the Taiwan Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo.
As the World Expo in the Chinese city enters into its final month, the Taiwanese stand welcomed its 400,000th visitor and gave local Shanghai resident Gu Wen 50 pairs of expensive shoes to say thank you.
The prize is worth more than 25,000 yuan (£2,336) and the recipient told the Global Times that she was delighted with her win and that it made the two-and-a-half hour wait to get inside the pavilion well worth it.
It is the fourth prize that has been given out by the Taiwanese pavilion, with a special reward going out in increments of 100,000 guests.
Even if you are not lucky enough to win a pair of shoes, brighten up your day with the BEL10059 design from Staccato, which have an interesting T-bar detail across the foot.
