Buying new shoes should be a personal experience and something that will make you happy, according to one footwear fanatic.

Self-confessed "shoe-aholic" Dioulde Diallo currently manages the footwear section of a designer store and told the Daily Telegraph that she deliberately looked for a career where she could be surrounded by her beloved footwear.

While she admits that she is "geeky" about footwear, Ms Diallo explained that she likes the fact that good shoes are accessible to anyone and that the pleasure from owning a pair is unique to the individual.

"What I like about shoes is that anybody can wear them. There's no size-zero debate about shoes," the 33-year-old told the news provider.
