Brides to be who are planning a winter wedding have been advised to look for shoes that will be comfortable.

Writer Gayatri Sarang is currently planning her nuptials and advised other women who are organising their big day to take into consideration the style of shoes they choose.

She stated that while your jaw might be hurting by the end of the reception from smiling so much, there is no reason why your feet should also ache.

The main piece of advice she had to offer was that day is not a time to experiment with new styles that may prove to be highly uncomfortable on your feet.

"If you've never been able to walk in stilettos, marriage is not magically going to change that," Ms Sarang advised.

Donning the footwear at home to break them in before the day was also recommended.
